REDUCING WASTE, ONE STEP AT A TIME
What started as a personal challenge became a goal shared by many. How can we contribute to a better future? How do i find better resources?
Zero Waste Shanghai was created as a platform to help facilitate change for a more sustainable life. Helping cities, companies, schools, communities and individuals that want to drive change.
WHAT IS ZERO WASTE?
Zero Waste is a global movement where people and corporations are changing the way they live and work to reduce the waste. A lifestyle that aims to take a step back, value things that truly makes us happy and save $$$ and resources.
At Zero Waste Shanghai we live in one of the biggest cities in China, a city known for its materialism and convenience. A concrete jungle from what the eye can see and levels of pollution that sometimes make it necessary to leave the house with a mask.
Our goal is to change the way people see sustainability. To be bold and chase opportunities in the sea of trash. To fight against the climate crisis. To educate the public to refuse, reduce and reuse. To learn how to compost. To make a real impact every day.
Zer’0Waste helps schools to set up their very own composting system. The Humus Project aims to reduce food waste, create a circular loop for the remaining debris, within the school facilities and serve as a visual and daily educational opportunity for every student in the school.
Zer’0Waste offers a series of activities to introduce the Zero Waste concept. Employees will learn the principles of how to work towards a zero waste facility. After this program, the team will be able to propose new solutions, be more sustainable, and re-think the way they do things while being profitable.
